Lacée De Grasse is an artist based in Long Beach, California. First introduced to painting as a child, she has held her practice closely ever since. Like a child, Lacée continues to approach her work through play and process. Untethered to any singular style or technique, she continues to explore freely. She views art as a doorway to God.

With this doorway flung open, she, unhindered by perfection, can connect with the heavenly realm, full of color, play, and freedom. She ventures deeper into her inner landscape, ripe with feeling and rich in depth, to find both healing and release.

Painting is her favorite medium for capturing subjects she believes there are no words for—subjects best expressed through color and shape. When there are many words, though, she turns to poetry, often creating in parallel with her paintings. Both practices inform each other, forming a sphere of expression.
